Give Your Writing Habit A Chance

I've been writing a lot based on my own personal life experiences and things which could help a lot of people of all ages whether it be a short or long one and whether it be enticing or not. But the truth remains that as you tried to write each day, there seem so many things to share with anyone. So many wonderful happenings in life to utter not just in words but also in writing. That's why writing became a part of my daily habit for I'm only taking advantage of the time being at home - being a self-employed one.

What's more fun about writing is the way it develops your mind and writing skills. Writing is a very interesting hobby. Not all has the ability to write but is capable of doing so. Anybody can make writing as part of their activity whether in front of the computer or somewhere. It greatly increases your vocabulary words and enhances your capability to express yourself with those people around the world.

Great ideas comes out whenever we feel about it. That ideas may come often as sort of just passing by. Therefore, whenever such is flowing, you should write it in paper or through the use of your computer. As the saying goes: "Don't trust your memory, write it down".

The good part about writing is what they called "freedom of expression". Expressing your thoughts, opinions, emotion and everything you think worth writing for is imaginable. There's a lot of things to write about which would help a wide range of readers. Our thoughts increases daily so we need to dispose it in writing. Our opinions has to be heard for people to know what was going on or what's happening around us. You can express your opinion about anything but we must observe our statements carefully to prevent from hurting anyone with respect to their  cultures and belief. We can write inasmuch as we are not overlapping some boundaries. Writing may contain some kind of joke but I think we must consider being serious about it.

Taking someone's attention can be very challenging as it seems people are not always interested with nonsense topic. And what I observed nowadays, each one of us has a choice of topics to read which is of great interest and value. In fact, there remain a lot of us which are more interested with the latest trends, latest gadgets and celebrities than those issues around the world as a whole.

Our knowledge is expanding daily with the help of these so-called bloggers. Thanks to these bloggers who writes everything for the purpose of helping or sharing their ideas and stories. Not just they blog for money but they write what they know to inform anybody whether it be personal or something. The benefits you can get from blogging are having more friends, job opportunities, and many more aside from earning money online. I really like travel and food blogs. Through blogging, people can now write according to their languages or dialects. In short, everybody's can blog.

You can write for 20 minutes or for a detailed history of your life, it doesn't matter. You can exert a lot of effort to convey your message or just want to be heard, go on! Don't worry! Write want you want to write, have fun and learn the great advantage of this to be on the web. You know what, who knows you could be one of the best writer or someone who can compete? The same saying goes "It's not what you write but how you write it".

"Bring Back Death Penalty"

"It's Better that one man should perish than nation will suffer". This was the saying I always remember back then when I was just a missionary. I suppose, justice will surely prevail if those criminals will be put to death. Take out the bad in order for the righteous to live in harmony, equality, in justice and in love. Punished those criminals according to the sin or crime committed either put them behind bars or to death. Otherwise, these people will continue to commit crime without regret. If crimes can't be stopped, then there would be no place for good people to live except to retaliate and become lawless too. However, good people doesn't harm anyone but just depend themselves to live.

Several months ago, I read a certain article from yahoo about an innocent young girl raped and killed by two young men. That was an awful dilemma for a 7 year old girl. No wonder, those men are out of their mind or under the influence of drugs. How bad it was for the parents to know that their child was abused by these men without mercy. Glad those men were found and arrested guilty of the crime.

Also, several months ago, certain rumors about kidnapping children here in our place became widely spread. In fact, there was a young victim who managed to escape during the action. But several kids were not able to escaped and found dead with the money inside their body. The worse thing is that some organs are missing like eyes, heart, and liver. What hurts most was the message found included with the money saying "condolence". I suppose that those evil men are murderers, robbers and ungodly who do nothing but to kill people, take the organs for money. Most of the victims are girls; so most likely, they raped them before killing them (double purpose). Shocking? They're target are mostly high school and elementary students. I hope our local officials are alarmed and are doing some preventive measure assuring safety for the community.

Remember the Maguindanao Massacre, until now nothing has happened but a mere investigation.Until now, family members of the victims are hoping that justice will be served.

If we count the crime reported and spread each day from inside and outside the country, probably, victims are howling for justice. Our governments are dull of hearings that they wish not to hear those cry. And our justice system is not well-served for the people alike. You can't obtain justice without money involve or help from the most influential people whose intention to help is not known. Mostly, the aggrieved parties have to give up and silently keep the matter inside them. Who cares?

How many people will have to suffer like these if our government would not bring back death penalty? what would be the situation if these men continue to rule the nation even dominate the world?  Without it, criminal would certainly enjoy killing, abuse other people or do whatever satisfy them for money. The only victims are mostly the weak, simple and innocent people.

It is said that death penalty is the ultimate, irreversible denial of  human rights. What about the crime committed by those evil one? They're mostly (criminals) inhuman, they neither respect nor have that view in mind. Now, who has the right to live in this world? Bring Back Death Penalty in the Philippines and totally eradicate crimes.

Word of God: "Love is the fulfillment of the Law"

Remembering Holy Week is like reminiscing the love our God had laid for us. The Father sacrificed His only begotten that we may be saved. Jesus laid his life for us for one thing - that he may redeem us from sins. Another is to bring us all to the kingdom of our Heavenly Father. I do believe that is not by crucifying themselves (like men who are crucified during Lenten Season) nor nailing their hands and doing penitentiary ways will save them from sins.

Image Credit to the respective owner
I remember the story of  what the pharisees and the sadducees did with our Savior -  they crucify Him because of blasphemy. They listened to the voice of the people who does not believed in Jesus - being our Savior and Redeemer. They scourge him and spit upon His face.

How can a person be saved into heaven if he doesn't repent and forsake his sins and become like Jesus. One can become like our Savior by following the Lord's path meaning doing that which is good - for that which is good is of God. God is love that is why even until now, we are receiving God's grace and the same is lengthening our lives that we may do good.

Doing good in the sense that we have to be charitable with others. Help those who are in need without waiting in returns. Show good manners and be respectful at all times. Not greedy. Doing good can also mean sacrificing ourselves for the benefit of others. Uplift others and share our knowledge of the Lord without any grudge or being selfish. We do good without taking advantage of others after their own weaknesses.

We all have weaknesses that's why we may be tempted sometimes if not most of the time. Money can be the most reasons why we gave ourselves to many temptations. Nowadays, survival is the only thing that clings to everybody's mind. Without money we can't live anything in life that others are experiencing like the rich and famous. But the fact is, we should be aware that because of our basic needs, which makes us busy most of the time, can make us to forget God. Remember, It is God that gave all the things we need in life even our very own breath.

Now back to the love I mentioned, it can be a simple word but hard to give. The love of God is infinite and immeasurable. It is without end. It is behind all His sacrifices, for indeed, God wants us to be back in his presence full of glory and honor. God wants us to become like them as the prophet had said "being sons and daughters of God". We're made in the image of God, and as such we are the heirs of all things above and things below.

How can we become like God if we're astray from his commandments. If we're not doing the things  commanded us to do and live. Simply, the way to become like God is believe in Him, be baptized in His name, repent of all our sins, living righteously, obey his commandment and endure to the end. The Savior is our perfect example who showed the right path for us to walk upon. He is the greatest gift to all of us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed in Him should have an everlasting life. In one scripture it says, "love worked no ill, therefore love is the fulfilling of the law". Will you hurt someone and say you love him? Will you be bad if you love your parents which is the second commandment. Speaking of commandments, we're all familiar with the ten commandments. The first is to love God above all things. Second to love your parents. It is said that because of these commandments, "hangs all the the laws and the prophets".

Love is the foundation of all things. Because of love, the world is created. Human being were created to have dominions over all the earth. Subdue all things according to the laws and commandments of God. Every living creature was created for the sake of mankind. That they may live in peace and harmony, man was commanded to become one, become Zion.

Love is an eternal principle. It is present in the Celestial Kingdom of the Father.

Love should be a solid foundation of each individual, every family, every society or whatever it be. We must be founded on love for without love, there can be no unity, happiness and peace in all the land. Enmity will abound, contentions will flourish until all will vanish away even all things. But there is love because God exist and everything is accorded to with love.

No one in this world can live without love. Each one deserve to be loved, nurture and cared for. Just imagine how the sower care for his plants. Every plants must be watered daily and cultivated each day enough to survive the day. Until one day it will grow, become strong and stand on its own - withstanding the strong and vigorous wind that will blow them away.

Love is the sweetest word a person can share to his fellow being. It's whisper is as strong that no one can think of evil of. It is a calm assurance that nobody can harm someone else at the expense of another. The warmest thought you can share with someone you love. It is enduring. Love is pure and undefiled.

Love can be the source of our strength and determination. We feel secured when there's love around. Love is the constant companion of hope and charity.

We earnestly seek of the pure love of God, it's freely given. He won't leave us behind. He is always there for us and we (being an instrument) should always be there for someone else. I'm happy that in spite of all the trials and sorrows in life, God is there. I remember a phrase from an old poem concerning mother and son which the mother told his son saying, "where a tender word is spoken, where a noble deed is done, where love is, God is there, for God is love my little one". It's true.

Requirements For Shipping Human Remains (HUM)

This week, I've been busy enough assisting my cousin in facilitating the papers regarding the cadaver to be sent home from Manila to Butuan.

This post is for those who are looking for the requirements about sending human remains or transferring the cadaver from one place to another through plane. I hope this could help someone like me who have no idea at first. All you have to do is complete the necessary requirements with proper coordination with the funeral service personnel.

Planning to send a cadaver or human remains won't take long. All we need to have are the following based on Cebu Pacific Cargo:
  • Three (3) Photocopies of the Following:
  1. Death Certificate
  2. Embalming Certificate
  3. Quarantine Permit from Bureau of Quarantine - DOH
  4. Transfer Permit or Permit to Transport from the Municipal / City Health Office
*Original documents shall be presented upon transfer of the Cadaver.
  • Coffin must be hermitically sealed and crated
  • Shipments must be at the cargo area at least 3 hours before the flight

Death Certificate
- can be acquired at the office of the civil registrar.

Transfer Permit
- Submit a death certificate accompanied by Barangay certificate and funeral contract at the municipality's civil registrar. Payment should not be higher than P300 or depending on each municipality. You will be asked to take a heath certificate at the City Health Center located within the Municipal Hall. Health Certificate is included in the payment.

Embalming Certificate
- a certificate of embalming is acquired through the funeral service provider. The funeral knows about it and you will be asked about the necessary documents. They also needed those document you have with you as mentioned above

Quarantine
- this is the last thing furnished by funeral personnel together with the receipt. Payment for this is P300.

When you already completed these documents, you can arranged the booking personally or through phone call. You will be given an Air Way Bill number needed by the cargo section for the sticker (to be attached at the top of the crate).

Be sure to carry the cadaver at the cargo section 3 hours before the desired flight or as early as possible depending on the arrangement to avoid hassle. First, you have to fill-up a form. Then, the cargo shall be weighed to get the correct weight. Next, you will be directed to their staff for assessment before a sticker is issued as I mentioned above. Next, the cargo will be scanned at the scanning section then you go back to the staff who issued the sticker which will then asked you to make payment. That's all.

With our experience, our cargo weighted 197 kilograms which cost P5,180. Hope this will give someone an idea of how much they will going to spend sending a cadaver. Just remember to give the papers together with the documents mentioned above to the escort for claiming the cargo upon arrival at destination.

Lumpia with Green Chili

A few days ago, My wife revealed her ability to cook something out of curiousity. She wanted to used those fresh green chili (locally called siling haba) from Nueva Ecija, in her favorite delicacy - Lumpiang Shanghai or spread rolls. She used some of it before it will be wasted away. Actually those green chilies are fresh from farm, it's a lot cheaper than buying from the market.

Using  the common ingredients for spring rolls, she added a piece of fresh chili to make it hot and spicy but she removed the seeds out of that chili to lessen pungency. I could not resist myself from eating that spicy lumpia, so I took two pieces to try how it tasted. Indeed, it's good and delicious which all of us enjoyed her new recipe added to our lunch.

We're Still Blessed

Traveling to a distant place or a far one is such an horror to me. It is not because I don't know how to drive a car but because of the danger we may encounter along the way.

Yesterday, at 4:30 am, my wife and I woke up early to prepare for our travel going to Talugtog, Nueva Ecija. It was my second time around. I have to carry a set of furnitures including other stuff to my elder brother's new home. I know it was too heavy for the van (Nissan Serena) to carry the load including my elder Sister, Sister-in-law and a grandson but I opted to go anyway due for a favor. We finished loading at around 5:00 am.

At 5:30, we started tracking the road from Taguig to Nueva Ecija via NLEX & SCTEX highway at 90-125 kph velocity. In that speed, we we're able to reach the place in 3 1/2 hours at 9:00 am. In short, we safely arrived there not knowing that one of the rear tire (right side) was at the tip of explosion because the ply are beginning to be teared apart (I forgot to take a picture). I discovered it when I started to check the tires before we are about to begin our way back home.

Upon returning, I decided to drop by a vulcanizing shop in Guimba, Nueva Ecija to look for a used tire for an immediate replacement. Luckily, a used one (good for nothing) is available for P1000 pesos and I was able to negotiate it for P900 with free mounting. I had no choice but to get it than staying for the night at Nueva Ecija.

Again, we safely arrived home at 9 pm. However, we did bring some vegetables including fresh tomatoes to which we enjoy our dinner. Finally, I said to myself that I would be more careful next time. Thanks God for saving our lives and for being merciful to us.

Learning At Home

Do you think that by doing something is making ourselves busy? Yeah! Each morning, around 5 am, I rose up early and started thinking of an activity that would make me busy. As we all know, each of us has a lot of work to do each day. Each day is an opportunity to learn and improve. Whether it be an easy one or a complex thing to do. It's hard when we're just sitting or standing without any accomplishment at the end of the day.

I observed a lot of people, whose habit is just standing around the corner as if they're waiting for something. Sometimes, I thought, they are the very people who keep on living like a pensioner. They mingle with other people and keep talking until the end of the day. They shout and talk like they know better. They never worry nor toil for living. I hope I'm not judging or something. But the more I see them each day (doing nothing except when needed), the more I think that they are more blessed than I am.

For me, It is very important that we keep on working, learning from day to day. I find it more interesting to learn or improve our very skills without limitations. Instead of mingling with our neighbor, I spent my days on improving my skills and master it. Beside, I'm doing fine all day.

Learning from home can be the best alternative an individual can do if pursuing proper education or training is unreachable. Nowadays, computer is a great tool for learning. There is so much to learn like graphics designing, HTML programming, computer repair, photoshop, printer troubleshooting etc...All we have to do is expand our understanding even reading and writing. Aside from those, we must learn how to do some house repair. Search for the best books that would surely help us understand something relevant to what we are trying to do. We should have that positive attitude and deepest desire to make everything right.

From home, I already known a lot of things from computer repair to maintenance, business ideas, improving my typing skills, aside from doing electrical installation to house repair. If we end up nothing we might be helpless like others. So better start today for tomorrow is another day.

Marriage Is Not All About Money

THE FIRST TIME THEY MEET

Consider the first time when man and wife first met. They were both strangers into each others eye. Men are dangerous as women are often be the prey. But when men started to have attraction among women or the one he liked, he used to change a bit of his dangerous attitude. That is to convinced her that he was good enough for her. However, there are men who are good, honest, responsible and God-fearing which are glorious in the eyes of women. These are the men sought by many women to be bonded eternally.

But obviously, women are changing their habits, usually prefer men with a bad boy image, hunks, good looking etc.. And men do likewise. I guess some would not agree with me.

THE DATE

Dating is where all started. They first go on a date, trying to get to know each other. At this stage, both have the time to get to know each other. Weighing down their undecided feeling between opposite sex. Finding more time for companionship. Looking for some opportunities to get closer together, developing an intimate feelings.

MARRIAGE - LIFE AND MISERY

Then they go for mutual understanding and went into an engagement. But some are unlucky enough to find the right person in life, into eternity. Both of them did go rushing, turning days into an hour and a year into day without thoroughly understanding what it would take entering into marriage.

Hold on! Take a deep breath and ponder upon your thoughts and feelings. Don't rush and think slowly for marriage is the beginning of life and misery. It could be as sweet at first when you have it but following a day or two, a never ending misery when problems arises.

Marriage is a reflection of both personalities. Our attitudes and individual characteristic likely affect our way of living and so many has to be aware. Men and women who are simple enough do live together. And I admire those who lived simply and happy without arguing about money. Of course, there will disagreement but largely, men who are quite and understanding are the most person who handles the situation. Women who comprehends life understands marriage unlike others who thinks only about money. But men should know how to earn money and should be responsible enough for his own family. Nowadays, men and women alike cares more about money that's why some said "no money no honey". Marriage should not deal more about money. Indeed, marriage ended up because of money matters.

We love because we care. We marry because we need to raise a family of our own. We enter marriage because we both have the same feelings. We are responsible for each other. We should end up in eternity.

It's Really Hard to Find Honest People

Certainly! We are growing in numbers, as the sand of the sea. People are continually living in the world, multiplying and spreading across every continent and down to every islands. Looking for the things they wanted in life, every thing common, being lead by their famous ambitions to be on top of the world. Some are contented with what they have in life but many aren't. Some lived in simplicity yet some are filled with luxurious living. And I guess many do forget to be honest for themselves, for their companion, their family and every people around them, day by day.

Is to be honest is foolishness? For me, honesty is what brings people to light and understanding. Honesty as commonly said, "is the best policy". Honesty is to be true to yourself, to God and every people you meet whether it be someone you know or a stranger. If all men were honest, then there is nothing to be afraid of. Nothing to worry about and all is well. People will have so much peace and happiness living harmoniously in this earth given to us by our Creator and God. No one will ever think evil against their fellow being.

But why is that there are dishonest men? That is the big question. When men are dishonest, they will lead them to a more evil natures.

I'm really touched by a story I read from yahoo, concerning Robert Adams. Adams found a plastic bag in a situation where after his work he decided to take an ice-cold drink. He wanted to something to eat but he doesn't have enough money. The bag contained half full of money which includes receipts and checks but he returned it to the right owner not thinking (maybe) a single thought to take the money with him. And what really touched me is the words he said, "it's not my money. I shouldn't take it. I don't care if you put zero on there, I wasn't raised to take money that isn't mine." He credited his parents for teaching him the right and wrong.

Someone had testified of his goodness. The owner of Senor Taco Restaurant, Onesimo Santillan said that he was not surprised of this old time customer he had. He said, "He has been coming for years, always orders the same thing, very nice guy." And further he said, "It's hard to find people like that, honest people."

This story along with those I've heard and read concerning honesty is worthy of emulation. It's really good to have someone who is honest and a true human being. I know we are looking for this kind of person but I guess is very rare.

What Drives Filipinos Overseas?

Have you ever wonder why more and more Filipinos have decided to work or live outside the country? Would you think that all of them are poor? If they are poor, then why is it that some of them has plenty of money to finance their placement fee and other processing fees for their application?

I'd agree that not all Filipinos are poor and under privilege. It is not because of poverty but the opportunity they can get from working or living abroad. If only given a chance to choose, I would rather leave the country and go seomewhere than suffer here due to corruption. Corruption is the only and main reason why people suffers and lived in poverty.

Here I would like to share a list of reasons why Filipinos prefer to work or live abroad than stay in the country.
  • Economic collapse that began in the 80's
  • Low wages and salaries especially in Visayas and Mindanao
  • Lack of opportunities in the Philippines
  • High prices of commodities because of tax or VAT
  • Corruption involving leaders and government employees
  • Unreasonable increase in commodities that tends to increase everything
  • Unfair distribution of economic resources (focuses only in Luzon)
  • Poor services in the government
  • Poor Health Care benefits
  • Expensive Hospitalization
  • Unfair justice system

And these are the reasons why pinoys enjoys living abroad (selected countries)
  • Free family health card, dental and insurance
  • Free education for children
  • Free water and electricity
  • High Salary (Dhinares, Pound, Euros, Dollars and Yen) see exchange rates
  • Affordable commodities
  • Affordable housing plans
  • Large demand for workers (including old age workers)

If you have any more suggestions or corrections, comments is accepted. Thanks!

Snake Dreams

I dreamed of snakes this morning. In my dream, I saw two snakes of same size and same length which is 1 meter long. The one is chasing me so I tried to avoid him. But he never stop from chasing me so I strike his head many times with a wooden stick. And I wonder why he is not hurt or die at all. He just stop chasing after me, when suddenly, another snake came in and they fight each other. I found myself watching them fight until my dreams brought me to another stage.

After that dream, I awoke and told my wife and mother about it. Instead of answer or sort of interpretation, they think of lucky numbers and asked me to make a bet on Lottery. It's funny! I don't have interest in lottery and I think I don't have luck on it either.

So, I looked over the internet for an interpretation.

Few articles I've read said that, snake dreams has varied meanings. It could be an evil which could come suddenly on me. It could also be a challenge which I must overcome. It could also mean a bad luck in business, an accident, a transformation or a mere dispute that would occur today.

Because of many interpretations, I thought it might just be a reminder of what would happen today. So I have to be careful, calm and gentle so as to make my day alive and meaningful. I hope no bad things occur in my life or within my family circles today.

Paid Speeches

I was kind of really amazed about the articles written by Rachel Rose Hartman from yahoo.com saying that former United States, President George W. Bush is earning from his speeches. Yes! It's my first time to hear someone earning as much as $15 million for 140 speeches. Is this such a good news or what? How could you imagined such amount where you valued per speech at $110,000? How true is it, we never know!

But she goes on, citing another example of a former US president. Bill Clinton who also earned $65 million after his final term. The most interesting about Bill Clinton is that out of his total speeches, 36 of it is valued at $7.5 million or $208,000 per speech. Awesome isn't it?

I wonder if this is the case here in the Philippines. Now, this could be a stunning opportunities for famous and eloquent people whether in public or private speaking. This will be a great idea for people who are good speakers to earn as much as he wanted. And so the saying goes, "the things of this world are no longer free or even affordable.." that even speeches are paid.

Toll Fee

Two days ago, it was Wednesday morning, we went to our apartment in San Pedro, Laguna to fix minor problems about the gutter. Our tenant send me a message twice Monday evening regarding the water that overflowed whenever the rain poured. I think it was impossible for a short rain drops, to create such overflowing. So, I had to find out as I told her earlier to check whether there are garbage or something that stuck in the hole.

I drove the a car little faster so we can go home as early as possible. On the way to South Superhighway, I took out my wallet to take P100 for the Toll fee. Approaching Susana Heights toll gate, I looked at the signboard where the amount to be paid is listed. Wow! I was really surprised because the tool fee did increase by P44 paying P120, compared to the amount I used to, which was only P76(from C5 to Susana Heights).

Well, that's life! If you want to take the fastest route then you had to pay the right amount. Do this is if you really want to avoid too much traffic. And if you don't, take the service road and expect more hassles and heavy traffic. Else, use a single motor for a faster ride but be cautious.

My Side on RH Bill

This highly controversial Reproductive Health Bill (RH Bill) becomes a divisive issue among Filipinos. There is the CBCP, some experts, academic, the politicians and the masses who aired their sides too. Why? What's The big issue with this controversial RH Bill?

The Catholic Bishops Conference in the Philippines, is said to be threatening the President of excommunication once he supported the said bill. They are totally in opposition because they said that it will be the gate to the making of divorce here in our country.

And just yesterday, I've read their statement regarding this which they said that those who supported or in favor of RH Bill has marital problems. This statement created furious comments among readers which showed disrespect to the Catholic Bishops especially Bishop Arguelles.

Such proposal is in great debate too, since the Filipino (Taxpayers) and private sector will fund and undertake wide distribution of family planning devices such as IUDs and Birth Control Pills through proper dissemination with the use of health care centers. This will cost a lot of money! What's next? Who will benefit the most from this kind of proposal?

It was proposed in 1998 by House Minority Leader Edcel Lagman and until now was still an issue which only means it's not yet time to get serious on this matter.

I will not talk more on this matters since it will not really help nor prevent population control in our country. Take a look at other country and study their population. Let us examine how these first world countries have developed their country. Consider Canada, they need more workers because they need to compete and develop more of their resources offering the best jobs available for qualified applicants. It only implies that they lacked human resources that their population cannot meet. Look at South Korea, instead of controlling their population, they encourage their people to produce more offspring looking forward in the near future of losing more quality workers which will require them to hire foreigners.

Knowing that Philippines is the "12th most populous nation in the world today", does not mean that we are the worse country ever in the world history. Instead use it as an advantage by means of quality planning. Develop more quality education by providing more technical courses and send them to better countries to earn more money and help provide for their own families. Distribute our so-called quality and professional workers in foreign lands as if we are conquering the world looking for greener pastures and not for wars. Teach our people to pay their taxes for our country's development like Japan. Take away that corrupt officials who is spending much of the government's money in their personal needs rather than using it in developmental projects.

If we think we are over populated then look at the map, try some Google earth, then you will know what I'm saying. If you are riding on a plane, look at the window and you know how vast is our land which is wide enough for our people to live within. Consider the ever neglected Visayan and Mindanao Islands. These are the lands being deprived of having greater share of our country's much resources. If the government thinks that our population is too heavy to handle then divide the land and let them choose their own leader.

RH Bill is not the solution to control population. Provide more technical courses and create more jobs and make a lot of Filipinos to get busy. You know what's next?

What If Bin Laden Is Dead?

A still of 2004 Osama bin Laden videoImage via Wikipedia
I've read that an intelligence report have stated that Osama Bin Laden is dead. He was shot in the head. He was reportedly killed in Pakistan. Even US Pres. Barack Obama announced on Sunday that Osama is dead. Now, what's next?

The said report brings a lot of reaction from US officials and from its citizens especially from those relatives and victims of 9/11 tragedy. That was a tremendous disaster upon US people where many lives had gone. The world mourned in behalf of the US.

So, with this, they rejoiced upon the death of one man who is the alleged mastermind. But no matter what, the death of Bin Laden is not sufficient to bring back the life of those who went in a tragic death. Not even a single cells of it can make the victims forget and forgive. As long as the world lies in sins, there will still be Osama bin Laden. He is everywhere as terrorist is everywhere, too. There's no assurance that the world is safe, even the US.

Mark this day!

Foreign Lands

Robert Louis Stevenson at the age of sevenImage via Wikipedia

by Robert Louis Stevenson

Up into the cherry tree
who should climb but little me?
I held the trunks with both my hands
and look abroad on foreign lands.

I saw the next-door garden lies,
adorned with flowers, before my eye,
and many pleasant faces more
that I had never seen before.

I saw the dimpling river pass
and be the sky's blue looking glass;
the dusty roads go up and down
with people tramping it to town.

If I could find a higher tree
farther and farther I should see,
to where the grown-up river slips
into the sea among the ships.

To where the roads on either hands
lead onward into fairy land,
where all the children dine at five
and all the playing things come alive.

On Giving

Then said the rich man, speak to us of giving.
          And he answered:
you give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give,
for what are your possessions but things you keep and guard
for fear may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow - what shall tomorrow give to the over prudent
dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the
Pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but needs itself?
Is not dread of thirst, when your well is full, the thirst
that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much of which they have-
and they give it for recognition , and their hidden desire makes
their gifts unwholesome.
And there are those who give little and give it all.
These are the believers in life and the bounty of life, and
their coffer is never empty.
There are those who give for joy, and that joy is their reward.
And there are those who give and know not pain in giving,
nor they seek joy nor give with mindfulness of virtue;
they give as in yonder valley the myrtle breathes its
fragrance into space.
Through the hands of such as these God speaks, and from
behind their eyes He smiles upon the earth.
It is well to give when asked, but it  is better to give
unasked through understanding;
and to the openhanded the search for one who shall receive
is joy greater than giving,
in there is aught you would withhold?
          All you have shall someday be given;
therefore give now, that the season of giving maybe yours
and not your inheritors'
you often say, "I would give but only to the deserving."
the trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.
Surely, he who is worthy to receive his days and his nights
is worthy of all else from you.
